About UK-ISRI

The UK Intelligent Systems Research Institute (UK-ISRI) is part of a network of research-led organisations that work to develop groundbreaking technology solutions across Europe. Employing approximately 550 research and development scientists and engineers our network includes nine institutes, each with a specific technological focus.

We provide a total package of support to all types of companies, particularly small and medium sized companies (SMEs). This includes cutting edge services of research and development right from initial concept generation through knowledge and technology development and ultimately assistance with market stimulation and commercialisation. Our work is also often sponsored by large enterprises and we have worked with a number of blue-chip companies across the continent.

Much of our work is done under the ethos of 'open innovation', whereby we adopt a collaborative approach to our work. We have developed numerous partnerships with clients, industry, academia, trade bodies, professional bodies and other research institutions.

ISRI's key areas of research interest include the development of computer software for desktop, mobile, handheld and web based computer systems; and the development of electronics, firmware, control systems, wireless and wired communication, power harvesting, printed circuit board design, verification testing, power electronics design, automation and simulation.
