David Smart

Before joining Pera Technology, David worked in customer relations and servicing for a Leicester based electronics company. David then went on to further his education before working for an intelligent lighting company, which involved writing embedded software, electronic circuit design, mechanical design, technical support, sales support, exhibition stand construction and stand representation. The company produced intelligent lighting that was sold across the USA, Australia, and Japan.

David is a Senior Electronic Technician in Pera Technology's Electronic and Electrical Engineering department. His abilities are based around software writing and electronic design. David has written software for many devices from microcontrollers to Programmable Logic Controllers. He has a good understanding of radio frequency modules for short and medium range data transmissions and power harvesting techniques for batteryless sensor solutions. David's name can be found on several patent applications that have been submitted from past Pera Technology projects.
