Simon Britton

Simon completed a five year electrical and mechanical apprenticeship with the Ministry of Defence at Old Dalby. During this time, Simon achieved the following: City & Guilds 201 basic engineering competences, BTEC 1ST – O.N.C – H.N.C & H.N.D in Electrical/Electronics. Simon’s quality of workmanship was recognised with yearly awards for apprentice of the year and he was selected to represent the M.O.D in a Tom Nevard electronic competition for best qualities found in an apprentice.

After his apprenticeship, Simon gained 3 years’ experience in calibrating and repair of military equipment to exacting standards.

Simon also spent six years as a senior quality and process research and development engineer for the only company in the UK to manufacture recordable compact discs. He was personally responsible for all optical/site test equipment including continuous process development to quality standards.

Simon joined Pera Technology in 2002 as an Electronics Technician. His diverse skills background has enabled Simon to work across all competency areas within Pera Technology, ranging from managing and delivering a multitude of single client projects to high level technical input towards European Commission projects.

A key aspect of Simon’s role is taking initial concepts of projects and creating altium schematic and PCB design’s through to final product for client.
